BeanSprout 0.2.5: cash flow reporting

A new report, some overdue flexibility around closing invoices and bills, and a privacy setting you can turn off.

Cash Flow Statement

There is a new Cash Flow Statement alongside the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet. It uses the direct method and shows cash moving through operating, investing, and financing activities.

Close and reopen invoices and bills

An invoice or bill can now be closed without being fully paid - useful for writing off a small remainder or abandoning a document you no longer expect to settle. You can reopen it later, and the status recalculates from its payments and due date.

Save a line item as a template

Any line item on an invoice can be saved as a reusable template directly from its row, without leaving the document you are working on.

Version reporting, and how to turn it off

The app can now report its version, platform, and operating system so we can see which builds are still in use and know when it is safe to stop supporting an old one. It travels over the licensing connection the app already uses - there is no new identifier and no third-party service involved.

It is on by default. To turn it off, open Preferences and look for the new Privacy section.

Errors that appear while a license is in its read-only state now explain themselves in plain language rather than showing a raw error code.
