Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Space Jellyfish LLC ("BeanSprout," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit getbeansprout.com (the "Site") and join our early-access list. BeanSprout is currently in early access; the Site is a marketing and waitlist page, and the BeanSprout desktop application is not yet publicly available.

Your books stay on your computer. The BeanSprout desktop application is designed to store your financial data in a local file on your own device. It does not upload your bookkeeping data to our servers. This Privacy Policy covers only the information handled through the Site described above.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you join the early-access list, we collect the first name and email address you submit through our sign-up form. We also receive any information you include if you email us directly.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, limited technical and usage information may be collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and general interactions (for example, clicking the "Get early access" button). This is described further under "Analytics and advertising" below.

2. How we use information

3. Service providers and analytics

We use a small number of third-party providers to operate the Site. These providers process information on our behalf or, where noted, as independent controllers under their own privacy policies:

Formspree (form processing)

Early-access sign-ups are submitted through Formspree, which receives and forwards the name and email you provide so that we can contact you. See the Formspree Privacy Policy.

Umami (privacy-friendly analytics)

We use Umami to measure aggregate Site traffic. Umami is a cookieless analytics tool that does not use tracking cookies and does not build personal profiles or follow you across other websites. See the Umami Privacy Policy.

Google (analytics and advertising)

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads (via the Google tag, gtag.js). Google uses cookies and similar identifiers to measure Site usage and to support advertising and conversion tracking. Through these services, information such as your IP address and online activity may be collected and processed by Google. Learn more at Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on and manage ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

Umami does not set cookies. Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies and use similar technologies for measurement and advertising. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings and manage advertising preferences using the opt-out links above. Blocking these cookies will not prevent you from using the Site or joining the early-access list.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers listed above, as needed to operate the Site, and where required by law or to protect our legal rights. If BeanSprout is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Data retention

We keep your name and email for as long as you remain on the early-access list, and afterward only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. You can ask us to remove you at any time (see "Your rights" and "Contact").

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to data portability. To unsubscribe from early-access emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below; we will respond as required by applicable law (including the GDPR and the CCPA where they apply).

8. International transfers

Our service providers, including those above, may process and store information in the United States and other countries. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to locations outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection rules.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for business owners and adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.

11. Contact us
